In our home it's not officially Thanksgiving until you've had seconds...And that I did...

This year it was a quieter one- No family or friends visiting, just our little family...Which was kinda nice, extremely relaxing & probably just what we needed after having a week of strep throat, the flu & head colds...

The hubs went all out with his meal, "knocking my socks off" as he likes to predict ahead of time...

We also took the hooligans to a pumpkin patch & like always what you picture isn't what plays out...

I pictured us all cozy in fall sweaters, walking hand in hand amongst the pumpkins...Noal gently picking out one that caught his eye & finding a tiny one for Pip...Maybe indulging in a hot apple cider & being one with nature on a cool, crisp fall day...

In reality, it was hot as balls outside & we were all sweating in our "cozy-can't breath" sweaters...The hubs wouldn't necessarily love up a pumpkin patch outing to begin with, but add the wee bit too much to drink he had the night before & you're talking special...

Noal walked the pumpkin rows either kicking them or going for ones completely, disgustingly moldy...When he realized it hurt his toes kicking them, he would say "me no like pukin" & moved on to eating dirt instead...

The entire time a tractor was going around the field & Noal would scream at the top of his lungs "tractoooor" startling whoever was close by...We bravely, stupidly agreed to a ride...Half way through he wanted off & I had to sumo wrestle him to stay put while trying to not go in anaphylactic shock from the hay...And Pip, well she was still kinda sick, so she was a grumpy little mouse who didn't like the bumps the hayride offered...

It was a ride to remember...A day to remember & really that's what it's all about right? Memories...

And in this home, Thanksgiving isn't over till all the pumpkin pie is gone...Big mumma & sweet Pip have been indulging in it all weekend-

But really I say, "Indulge...Life is too sweet not to"...
