Pin Seven: I'm a cake pop, if you are what you eat...

I'm known to have Facebook status' such as:
  • "Cake Pops for Brekki? Absolutely"
  • "Unlimited dessert today...ladies no judging when you see how much can go down my hatch"
  • "Is it wrong that I've demolished 3 cupcakes?"
  • "See you soon Bacon Dip"

So, you get the idea that I'm not the healthiest eater out there...A breakfast of cheesecake or brownies makes me very happy in my heart...I can honestly say I grew up on fast food and loved it...It's only since I met the Hubs that I have really ate and appreciated home-cooked meals...That being said, I still love a Big Mac, Milkshake and more sauce than any normal person could stomach...

But 3 things got me thinking...

One: It's my birthday next week, I'll be 31 and as I age I feel I need to take better care of myself- I eat bad, never & hate exercising & like red wine too much...

Two: Now that I have my baby boy, I gotta clean up my act to not only be an example but so that I'm the healthiest mama I can be...

Three: My oldest friend Laura {who I call Laurs} was my fast-food partner in crime growing up and may be the only person to love Taco Bell as much as I do...She has taken a One-Year No Fast Food Challenge and I know her more than anyone, so trust me when I say this is a Challenge!!! She not only is kicking the challenge's arse- she is inspiring me & hopefully others to do the same...


I'm so proud of you Laurs!!! She will be sharing her journey throughout the year and you dear friends get to meet her soon...

So, if you really are what you eat...Sweet Jesus, I am a cake pop, taco or lately a Cadbury cream egg...And I'm no nutritionist but I know that's no good...So, my little family & I are packing up the car & driving 9+ hours to go home to Windsor in the next few days...I am giving myself a week to indulge in all that I can when I am there...sushi, Taco Bell, pizza, icecream cake- no judging, it is my birthday...

But, as soon as I am home with the help of Laurs, the Hubs and of course Pinterest, I am going to eat clean for 30 days...I'm realistic here friends and I know I could never do a year...so I will start with a month...Well, actually I'll start with 10 days and share with how they go & then move on from there...

Wish me luck & if I moan & groan for cake pops I'm apologizing now...

  1. love it love it!!!! You can do it!!!!! You will kick its butt!~ I'm sure there will be complaining heck I complain but you will be healthier, feel better, have more energy and be soooo proud of yourself for accomplishing it!!!!
